That's great for you, Patti. I'm sure she has a lot to tell you, and you maybe you can ask her questions about things you didn't have a chance to ask your mother (?).

I know what you mean, Karen. I guess it's a combination--shit happens, but good things do come out of it that maybe wouldn't have come otherwise. More depth? Compassion?
Well I was just trying something out and what happened was I posted a link to my facebook page in our blog. Interesting.

I just had a wonderful experience. My mom's very best friend (Carol Cole) just found my on fb. We have been swapping stories and it is such a huge blessing for me. I miss my parents so much that sometimes it overwhelms me.

Pretty good, Karen. You actually bothered to inform yourself about the process! I don't retain facts too well.

No, it's to see if something is wrong and needs to be dealt with during the birth. If it's greenish, it means the baby shit or something like that. Can't remember what she said, but it's something that has to be checked into....

What are we supposed to check the water for? If your water breaks you go where ever you plan to have the baby born. right???? My water broke at home for Kevin and when Dave finally came home from his run; off we went.
Is the check to be sure it really is and not just a big pee? That can happen.

Sometimes ignorance is bliss. :-)

I gave birth in Israel, and everyone was doing natural births there, so that's what I did. Painful!
