I am glad you asked. I can only really show you, not tell you, and Swedish party games help. On the topic of the float- I will not be able to help there, but I can show up ready to go in/as whatever. Brian should be pressed for an excellent solo addition to it all as well. If Jerry did not feel the earthquake, maybe he is acting like he is 48. Just kidding Jerry? But check the pulse, maybe call Doug Brent, and definitely coordinate as your own fun addition to the event. I know you will.
okay, Richard, how are 48-year-olds supposed to act? I have been 35 for years now..........don't know about you guys, but it is great!!! If I felt the earthquake all the way down here, how come you didn't feel it, Jerry?
You all crack me up. I have always made it my first priority to set a good example for immaturity and although I do not think you guys are acting immature, I honestly do not think you are acting like you are 48. Now suck it in and get boring would ya?
Would it be safe to say that I should wear my We Be Jammin' t-shirt to the parade John??
No, I did not run the Boston Marathon this past Monday. No, I did not attend the NH celebration for our Super Bowl champs New England Patriots in Concord Wednesday afternoon. No, I did not feel this morning's earthquake here in Nashua, but I did hear that it was felt in places up north like Whitefield, Berlin, Concord and Claremont. Yes, I have learned the great news of one of our classmates, Doug Brent, who will become the new fire chief in South Burlington next month. Since 1992, he's been the chief in Barre City and before that in BF. Does everyone remember what BF stands for? I mean it has been 30 years for some people being out of the area. Ha ha. My Sousaphone and I used to play a lot of "Windy" at those football and basketball games, too. Keep up the good conversing here. I guess Pat just missed the 80's and 90's that made it up from Texas to this area for a couple days. Bye for now.
John, there are three Nancy's, Nancy Brown will be Nancy Y? At least my maiden name and married name were the same intitial..........but still mispronounced.......oh well. Patti, John and all the rest, this has been fun getting reaquainted and getting to know one another again...........just wanted to say it. I felt the earthquake all the way down here, I thought it was my neighbor (smile). Hope all ofyou in Burlington are okay and just had a rude awakening.............
Pat I tried to email you in response but my ISP was down. Anyway, I don't think we are doing T-Shirts. We are just going to do a float.
Thanks for the forwards on information. Yup I got em.... Thanks again....
Nancy you did make it. Good Job.... I will just call you NancyS in here. The other Nancy will be NancyC....
Anyway we talked about doing a float. I am sure we are going to do it. We will know more info on next meeting you know like to confirm where we are building it and all.
Yup more work but we all agree that we should have a 30th float. NancyS has been going to the meeting also so she can fill in what I miss out on saying to everybody.
Ok no I won't say what the float is just yet till after next meeting. But lets just say that Class of 72 Still Jammin....

Hi Nancy............great to hear from you. thanks to you and John and all the rest that have been working so hard to get this reunion together. I think there is alot of interest not only in going, but reconnecting with all of our class mates................"what ever happened to?" I am looking forward to seeing everyone that is there and keeping in touch with the others that can't make it. We do appreciate all you have done and please pass it on to the others............Nancy (guess we have to have numbers after our first names, huh?)
Hi John and Everyone who has been on Blogger,
It's nice to hear from everyone and see so many people using this. I think I may have figured it out myself.
I just wrote a couple of paragraphs but I lost them so I'm just gonna make sure this gets out before I do it again.
Nancy
Hi John, Sent you a couple of forwards this morning . Stuff that was in my mail box when I got home. RSVPs and the like.

Linda mentioned the reunion committee was thinking about t-shirts or something like that, maybe instead of spending time and $$$ on a float. did anything come of that? Jst wondering

80's in TX and low 40's here at home. I'm freezing. Had a fun trip - Jane sends her greetings to everyone and wishes she could make it to the reunion -- but like for many folks I've heard from, the trip is long and expensive. the airline's are raking in the dough!

The letters are mailed out. Everybody will be getting the invite in a couple of days. Enjoy........
When are you guys planning the party games for the reunion? I learned some great ones last summer at a Swedish Summer Solstice party, all are compatible with singing and/or drinking.

Your right Richard if it is anything like Sushi then I couldn't handle it either. lol
Maybe Robin or Neil could give us a digital music sample of The Horse. I am not sure if I could handle it. Kind of like sushi, you don't know how you will feel till you do it.

Hey does anybody remember the song they used to play at the basketball games and football games. All I can think of is the Horse, is that it or is it called something else?
Jane,
Susan Aiello, she is married and lives down at the Cape. My Mom called her mom and she was able to bet her address and I also dropped her a note. I guess there were a lot of Susan's , sorry about that. I seem to run into that with other Nancy's as well....it seems where ever I work, there is another Nancy. So we use the first initial of our last names. I keep in touch with Polly, Karen, and Sue Goding in Springfield......well Sue is in Cornish Flats, NH, now, but we try and see each other once in a while. I don't get the vacations she does with school...........lucky, lucky.
Nancy, which Susan are you referring to? There were/are several. Just wondering.

Lori, Jane and I recognized each other only because we knew what to look for. Jane would be wearing a black ck hat and at that time of night in the airport there were very few people. If we had just seen each other in a group we agree that we probably would not have known each other. I'm sure it will be that way for most people. Unless I am looking for a specific person I don't expect to recognize people. I like Brian's idea of putting up pix as that will certainly help when we get together. I'm a 48 year old women not an 18 year old girl; there's quite a difference :=) Certainly hanging out with Jane brings many memories back and her voice is very familiar. she has the same hair and wears it the same way. Her smile is the same and being together is the same. It's remarkable how easily we've fallen into the old friendship. Like 30 years haven't gone by at all. but if we didn't know we were going to be someplace and weren't looking for each other we'd have walked on by.
Yes, I'd like to hear from more people on the blog site. The more we have, the easier it will be to keep it going because someone will always have something to say.So where are the rest of you? Hello? Hello?
Hi Jane and Patti. So did you recognize each other? Have you changed?!

I second that vote, John........maybe we can get some more on board by reunion time and have an even bigger crew here!!! It has been interesting getting caught up on you guys........I only talk to a few people in Springfield, I thought everyone had gone, but it seems there are quite a few there. I was up there for the day on saturday, but had to come back that night. I did give Susan my email address and dropped her a note in the mail............told her about the site here and that if she was online, we can get her on board............
Well I think we should keep this blog going after the reunion. Heck we have done more talking in here to each other then we have in 30 years. You got my vote.
I know that I haven't been a great participent in the past with the class but this year I am making an effort to keep in contact. I believe its because of the whole
road that I have traveled down and it makes you realize that we know we can't be close to each other and probably a good thing in some ways but it is rewarding
to say hi to the people that you went to school with since it brings back a few memories.

Ricard nope it wasn't me at crownpoint or Rockingham I played at Claremont. But I do play at those places now and then. Snowboarding now that will keep you
young or make your bones snap. lol..... I bet you could still snowboard on Mt. Washington. Now that would be a trip. It looks like the snow on the mountains
got done early this year. Shouldn't the ski areas usually still be opened this time of year. Well damn the bad luck of great heats of sunshine. Just think snow is
only a few months away and back to the skiing you go.
Richard, that is such a good idea. We know from a bunch of people who said they definately are not coming, so we don't need to contact them because they know for sure. The people who have so far been non responsive either to invitations to join Blogger or to the notes that have been sent out through classmates. (I have a list on my desk at home) we send them a personal e-mail to encourage them to come. I know from a lot of the people with whom I've been talking (e-mail - not blog) that they really enjoyed being contacted and looked forward to talking to people from the class. Even though they had not been doing so over the years. If we talk with people individually I bet we can bring up the numbers dramatically. I have only heard from one person who said they would not attend because of a personal choice not to. any others who have said they would not attend all explained the complications of timing or expense of travel to the event. After all if you live on the other side of the country it's pretty tough to make such a journey.

Jane would like to you all to know that even though she has responded in the negative she wishes she could attend and hopes that people will write to her and keep in touch. Even after the reunion time. i echo that sentiment. I certainly hope that after the reunion we continue to Blog!!!! Pat and Jane
John I drove by Crown Point on Thurs. AM and saw a couple guys out there. Was that you? It looked a little wet. Maybe Rockingham has some higher ground or maybe you just wore your waders. I went snowboarding on Friday and it was very wet, not to mention the unexpected hazards, but I was pretty happy about the whole thing. To get a stronger message out to reunion people who are on the fence about coming, maybe you could request that we send e-mails to the people that haven't responded around the time that invitations go out. With an e-mail address in front of me that I just need to click, I would send a little note to old classmates to encourage them to come, as would others on this blog I'm sure. Once again, thanks for your efforts!

Hey Pat and Jane. Good to hear from you guys. Well I don't have an exact amount but I can tell you that whoever misses this one is going to miss a good crowd.
So far it looks like we have heard from about 20 people for sure that is without sending invitations out. Of course some are going solo and some are bringing somebody.
How come pat you get all the good travels anyway. I am going to have to talk to my boss and see if I can do some work in Naples Florida that is where our other office is.
But maybe not it must be getting hot down there. Well I can say that I played golf today and it was very nice. Okay Okay you guys don't get it why we play golf. Hit the ball
and chase it. Well I guess I don't understand it either but it keeps me walking. lol..... Hey gotta run so chat with you all later.

Hi everyone, this is Jane and Pat down in Dallas. Warm down here but fun catching up on all the "good old days" We went through every page in the yearbook yesterday talking about everything. There are people we really don't remember though. Mostly guys. It was also interesting to see who people are asking about here and who nobody seems to say anything about.
John are you hearing from people about RSVP's other than the ones I sent you? I'm curious about how many people are coming so far?
