I see the Secret Float Plans are out. Well thats the start. What will be the finish, I don't know. Brian your doing a great job with all the pics and stuff. Well gotta go back to work. It's too nice out right now for me
to be banging away at this keyboard.
Brian thank you for sharing your sleeping habbits with us. Gotta do what ever works for us! You're absolutely right about not having enough time in a day to do what needs to be done. Maybe I'm just slowing down. Oh well! The pictures are great. Dick , you look good. I love the costumes. Do you guys dress up like that terrorize the town or was this a costume party? ha ha
Brian, I don't see any pictures of you . Where are you? I haven't seen you since the 25th reunion.
take care
Hi Nancy and John, Yep, I got the photos and I updated the Secret Photo Site, thanks, nice job!

As far as sleeping, it's overrated. Most of us sleep in 4-hour cycles. I feel more alert if I have 1 or 2 cycles of sleep than I do if I wake up in the middle of one, (like after 6 or 9 hours of sleep). Mostly I just sleep 4 hours a night. There never seems to be enough time to do what you want to do, so doing this gives me 4 hours to read, or learn new stuff. I discovered this in 1974, so it seems to work for me.

Alright now, everyone slide on down to the bottom of the page and check out the Photo link.

See? Now send in your own photos and this will begin to look like a big ol' graduating class. If you don't know anyone with a digital camera or a scanner to scan your photos, then send me some prints via U.S. Mail, and I get them right back to you. (I know I said that already, I'm just reminding you so you'll do it : )

Well I would go fishing but my golf clubs are calling me instead. lol....
It's going to be a great weekend here. Of course I still have to do the
work around the house before I go and chase my balls. I know what
your thinking don't go there. lol.....
Hi everyone!

Hey Brian, did you get an e-mail from me with some more pictures attached? they're pretty good. What on earth are you doing up at 3:30 am?! I can barely stay up until 10:00 pm and that is pushing it!! Hay, did anyone of you guys ever go up to the Hartness House bar... the one underground?( not a trick question) I was showing a friend from work around up there today and boy did I have stories to tell .I remember one time a bunch of us went there and got shit faced. When you walk out of a hole in a hill at 1:00am with a buzz, it's easy to end up down on Valley street!
The Hartness House is so beautiful. I really appreciated it today.
Roger is going to speak with Ricky (Belville) and give him info about the reunion. I can't find Bea Lovell Merrill 's address. Does anyone out there know it?
John , your pictures came out great! Bob took a really good one of you and Linda. I e-mailed them to Brian last night to post on the web.
take care everyone........It's supposed to be a warm week-end. We're thinking about doing some fishing.
bye
Great photos, John. I'll get them in tomorrow, I've been too busy to do it tonight. And gee, lookit the time!

It's really great to see some honest emotion emerging in here, Class of '72, even if it's expression of frustration, anxiety or exhilaration. I found the Secret Photo Link which isn't really that much of a secret. (Whoops, don't tell anyone.) The pictures are great, and the right and left arrow buttons work just dandy. I was at Southview School for grades 1 through 4 before matriculating to South School where I caught up with some of the rest of you for 5 and 6. Yes, Derrick and Marshall Dutton were the drivers of my Bus 14. I guess Marshall had a #8 before that and brother Holly drove the #9 and their brother-in-law Dave Putnam drove the #13. Mrs. Doten was my homeroom teacher at Riverside. Remember in Mrs. Mable's public speaking class at SHS when some of us would get on the intercom for the morning announcements? That was a riot when I told some corny jokes and gave some sports scores. Go ahead, add to this if you want.
Ok gang. Brian if you want you can save what ever you want.
Here are the latest Pics of tonights meeting. Just type this in to your web browser and you will be there.

http://home.adelphia.net/~jjll/classof72.htm

My resolution was set at 1280 x 1024
If you find they are too large of pics let me know and I can shrink them down.
It was just a quick post.

Hang on I am going to build a site to post them for you brian.
Hey Jeannette,

We do need Steve Lohutko's address. We have Davids. I'm glad you joined blogger.
se ya
Nancy S,
Brian told me there will be more there tonight!
Dick, are you whinning? It's not pretty.

I feel no sense of accomplishment at all because I had to be told where the darn secret link was. I feel a great sense of stupidness.

so anyway, where are all the other photos. Surely you guys are sending them????????
Hi everybody, I've been "listening in" to you for a few days now. I can't believe we are having our 30th. Remember how we used to think of pople who were having their 30 class reunion? OVER THE HILL! Guess we didn't know then that there is life after age 25. Well, just a mini update: I waited for til I was 32 to meet Prince Charming. He turned into a frog. We divorced about 5 years ago. But I have a wonderful 14 year old son, Christian. He is in the 9th grade at good ol' SHS. Flunking everything. Geez, nobody ever told me that you have to go through school twice! It's not fair. I've been working for Vt Legal Aid for 10 years in a support staff position. I just bought my first house in 2000. Life is good. I'll be at the reunion. I do think we should have some "ice breaking" games if somebody can come up with some. That would be a good idea. Brian and Dick - I see you guys are still cracked - glad to know some things never change. By the way, if you are still looking for Dave Souble and Steve Lohutko, I know they are still in Springfield. I will try to get their addresses for you. Bye for now.

I feel a great sense of blog accomplishment and I am not sure if "well, you pass" really addresses my needs as a new sensitive male (NSM). Let's be clear that I am not a worm boy feigning NSM status.
Hi everyone,
Nancy Y. I tried to e-mail you but I don't know if you got it so I thought I would post it here. I will tell Ron tomorrow night and you will be all set.
Hi Pat, We will let you know after tomorrow night right John? I'm just loving this communication!! I saw Jeannette tonight. She got logged on to blogger yesterday. I'm still trying to connect with Candi Paige Cook. I re invited her to blogger but I might not have done it right. That's why we have Brian. YEAH
Hey Neil.... Are you still out there somewhere? How are you? It's been such a long time since I've seen you. You sound very happy and content. I'm looking forward to seeing you again.
Talk to you later
Nancy S.

Well we will know more tomorrow night. There is another meeting. I will let you know what happens with that.

Good Lord I never thought to change to view web page. I thought I must have been looking right at it but couldn't see what was right in front of me. Very frustrating. But I finally saw it. Great job Brian!

John and Nancy, about the invitations that came back, are any of these folks on the e-mail list? Except for those how are the numbers looking?
Well, you pass. But it's easier than that. You should not be in the Editing/Posting area, you should be looking at the regular site: http://www.shs1972.blogspot.com. Scroll to the very bottom. Do you see the secret link? Go Baby!

What's this about not coming, Richard? You can't quit your job?
OK, OK, Ok, I got it!!!! That was very obscure.

You have to click on "view web page" first (right next to "enter safe mode") on the black bar above the posted messages. Then you get the web page with the link at the bottom that Brian is telling us to grab and click.
I see no brown part of the page. I see no link that isn't really hidden. Do I still get an A?
Alright. Click your mouse on the scroll tab on the right. Pull it ALL the way to the bottom. The link isn't really hidden. It's not in the Blog text that we write. Look for it in the brown part of the page. Nice going, class! A's for everyone! : )
Okay, I'm frustrated! Brian, SCROLL THIS BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I scrolled and scrolled but I'm still missing it. Tried using search just in case but that didnt' do it.

Jon Lewis lives in Florida. Unfortunately he can't get Blogger to work so he doesn't see any of this.

Richard I'm disappointed that you won't be able to make the reunion. I hate when business gets in the way of fun!
Hint: Use the scroll bar on the right.

So Brian, I found the picture of Jon Bon Jovi. Where is Jon Lewis? Hey man, I am killing myself to try to look this good, way to go Jon!!! Your sport is getting so huge and you must see all the years smiling on you. That's great!

Is there another link? I only found Jon's web page (not the second photo- of I'm guessing Patty).

I'm kind of bumming out because my company is decending on June 21st as a time that I would have to be so far away from Vermont that I would not be able to get back to VT for June 22. Maybe I can leave on June 23rd. That is what I am working toward.

Hi everyone,
Hi Robin. I can't believe you remember me as a girl scout! Was it really me?lol How are you? It will be nice to see you at the reunion. You are going aren't you? It's weird to think for us being forty something years old. God, I remember when we were snot nosed little kids! Where have the years gone?!
Hi PaT. Ron said a bunch of the invitations came back to him. Hopefully we will be able to straighten it out this Thursday evening. A minor set back, that's all.
I got an e-mail from Roger Belville today. He can't get blogger to work on his computer. He said he will stay in touch with Jon L. or me . Brian, maybe you could help them. I had a heck of a time getting mine to work. Persistence pays off I guess!! I did alot of swearing!!! I'm going to look for the photo link now. Wish me luck!
Nancy S.
Brian, I sent the photo of Jon. He sent it to me as an attachment. I forwarded it to you. It is the photo from his web site though. That's the first time I'd seen the site. Pretty neat. I guess I need more coffee - I can't find the secret poto link.
Yeeks. I guess my memory is better than I'd like it to be. Anyway, the photo update: I hid a secret photo link somewhere on this page. It only has 2 photos in it so far, but hey, send me some. They can be anything from anytime between now and 48 years ago. I would like some recent photos, so I won't embarass myself trying to figure out who the hell you used to be when I saw you last (chuckle :)

I started scanning in the horrid yearbook pictures, but I'm still in the C's. So keep holding your breath.

I recieved a picture of Jon Lewis, but it is compressed AOL-proprietary format, which I can't read because I'm not a member of AOL (thank Jeezum Crow). If you want to send a picture from AOL, then uncheck the "compressed format" feature, somewhere in the sending preferences. And Jon, if it's the photo from your web site, (take a peek), then I can get that one.

Now I have to see if I can dredge up a picture of me, while I'm waiting for the flood of emails from all of you!
How do you all remember the principals? I have a hard enough time remembering the teachers! I do remember my sixth grade teacher, though--Shorey Wilson's mother. Patti, it's funny you mentioned Sue Armstrong's arm getting stuck in a chair because the same thing happened to me in third grade. I stood up to read and the chair came with me. They had to use soap and water to get me out. I didn't get a new desk like Sue, though! Karen, if you hadn't reminded me that our school was called East School, I wouldn't have remembered that either. Guess I've been away too long. I always liked the bus ride home from school--bouncing over all those bumps.

I was in the SHS a few weeks ago and the stairs that go up to the class rooms I didn't go only because it was a scary thought. But wow what memories came back so fast. You all should take a tour and get a blast from the past. Pat I remember the Sue Ann Armstrong incident at Elm Hill. Remember the sliding down the Hill there. Allot of memories at that school. Oh yea how can I forget Mr. Hall the Principal at Elm Hill who broke the yard stick on my butt. Bet they don't do that now. lmao
I wonder if anyone would be interested in a tour of the high school. I still have nightmares of getting lost on my way to classes. Wonder if a tour would help? I think it would be fun to wander around in there. Wonder why my memories of Riverside are sharper than the High School? I'd love to wander in there too. Our principal was so nice.
Wow, scarry thought to see a teacher from my past. I hope that they may have mostly forgiven me by now. It would be fun for me to see Howard Smith- the East School Principal. George Noor was a great science teacher at Riverside and George Johansen was a math teacher that I liked at High School. Don Watson was a really fun guy.
Robin, I also have only the 5th and 6th grade pics for East school because I was redistricted to East from South. I should have first through 4th for South School. Nancy Smart, of course I remember you, but had forgotten that you married Bob until the Blog site started. Say hello from me, we used to chat at the Hartness House when I worked there summers. Sue Dunham and I have exchanged an e-mail and caught up on eachother a little. Lori and I have also done some e-mailing........its been fun. Have any of you thought of inviting back a teacher or two from those years at SHS? I have heard of other classes doing that and it has been really fun because they spoke and gave anecdotes about people in the class..........just a thought.
I'm an Elm Hill Girl. We lived out on the Chester Rd back then. I remember Sue Ann Armstrong got her elbow stuck between the slats in her chair and the janitor had to come and cut her free. She got a new desk. We were all jealous. Wonder where Sue is? We moved to Shaftsbury, VT when I was in the 3rd grade and then came back and lived on Wall Street starting at Riverside in 7th grade.

Nancy S do you think when you get a bunch of RSVP's back you could post the names of people coming to the reunion? That'd be great!
I have the East School 5th, 6th, and Crossing Guard photos. Does anyone have the 1st through 4th? I also have the Kings k'grtn pic from 1960..did we used to get picked up in a vw bus? Hmmm..is that Nancy Smart looking so cute in the Girl Scout uniform in 5th grade?

Hi everybody, Thank-You Nancy D. I'm not worried about the invitation, we will get it worked out somehow.

Hi,

I found a picture of Bill Bennett and me in 1979, I'll send it to Brian along with something more recent of me.
Yup I will be there NancyS.
Hi everyone,
The invitations have been sent out. Nancy Y. hopefully you will get your invitation soon. If not let us know and maybe someone could scan one on blogger for you to look at and reply to. Yes I knew Phil Hughes. I'm sorry to hear that he passed away. I believe the last few years were tough for him.
Hi Lori. I remember you from East school too. Those were good times. I'm sorry that you won't be at the reunion. It would be very nice to see you again.Do you remember Kim Stalter? I wonder what happened to her?We were in Brownies together. I used to go to her house and play tether ball.
Hi Karen. I am married to Sue Dunhams brother, Bob. They were at the house Friday evening telling us about their vacation to the Dominican. They had a wonderfull time. She will be coming to the reunion or I'll just have to rag on her a little bit. lol I'm sorry that you won't be able to make it. It would be nice to see you.
Hey John. How ya doin? Yes the invites were sent out. I'll be seeing you this Thursday night at Park Street school at 6:30 right?
Take care everyone
Nancy S.
I have my invitation and I'm wondering what Ron means when he says send a note along with payment on the RSVP?
Hi Jerry, Dr. Hughes was my optomotrist/opthamologist whichever. I got my first pair of contact lenses from him. I remember he told me that they were hard to wear as you had to touch your eye to put them in. He told me a funny story about a football player (SHS Varsity) who passed out try to puthis lenses in. He couldn't stand touching his eyeball. I thought that was a great story.
Thanks for getting us off that cliff, Jerry. Guess we can check the flowers around the 26th to see if it is true of that moon or not. I'm still curious about Richard's swedish games..........but I guess we will all have to wait until reunion time........which is fast approaching. Sorry you don't have a good postman, Nancy. A guy that works with me now used to work for the USPS and boy, did he have some stories for us........that is why he is working with us now. It isn't a pleasant job, and the mgt. is pretty messed up, as you can tell, our rates are supposed to increase again...........so we all can email. This is alot easier and we can talk to each other faster, as well.
