Sue Cass send me a note about Paula. So tragic. She says that Paula and her brother were living in MA. I remember her as being the life of the party.

I'm home as of 8 o'clock and wicked happy about it. Everyone seems to be be improving. Today I was told I was living in a hurricane. That's how this lady describes crazy/horrible times like right now.

I admire you, Patti--driving 9 hours by yourself to go from one hospital to another. That's devotion.

Dave called me a little while ago. Unbelievably, his mom is in intensive care with fluids in her lungs. different hospital from where she usually goes and they doesn't have her living will on file. Dave refuses to let the other hospital send it because he knows there is a DNR on file and he can't deal with that while he's here with his dad's surgery. We'll know more shortly after 7 am. Regardless, I'm going to have to go to the hosp. here first thing and tell Lynne I have to go back to P.I. as someone needs to be with Bobbie. I can't bear the idea of her being alone and Dave really needs to give this time to his Dad .

Long drive tomorrow. 9 ish hours. Let's hope the snow holds off.
I'm still here. but I've moved. I left the Ramada thinking I was going to head to ME to see Jack before his surgery in the morning (Fri) but Lynne is being moved to a Rehab facility tomorrow and she was saying how glad she was that I would be here so I called the Ramada to get my room back. OOPs no luck. So I'm at the Comfort Inn instead.

No snow in sight and I'm sure my truck and I can handle whatever may come along.
I haven't heard that the storm is going to be too bad....couple inches but over by tomorrow morning. So good luck deciding! Travel safely.
thanks for calling last night Kathi it was such fun to talk with you! I just heard there's a big storm coming and now I have to figure out whether to get the heck out of here or hunker down. Dear me.....................

Not to be outdone by Richard crossing the Swiss Alps, I too have crossed over the mountains. I'm at the Ramada Inn in Rutland, so I had to cross over Killington to get here. Lynne is in the medical center here. I'll be here till Friday I guess. Feel free to call me on my cell phone if we can get together. 207- 227-0364. Lynn can only have company briefly.

On my way here I stopped to see Dave's dad in the Central Maine Hospital. He is scheduled for qud bi-pass on Friday. I'll stop back there on my way back home. I stayed in Portland, ME last everning. I didn't leave home till around 3. Long day.

Patti, about the civil ceremony--it was a short but nice ceremony with a judge at the Town Hall here. Avi and I and our 2 sons were the only witnesses. So officially they are married, but they still want a regular wedding with food, music, dancing, and a ceremony with a Messianic rabbi. The civil ceremony is about love, not religion, which was fine with me--but this is their wedding....

Come on now Lori, not even a Hallmark Commercial???

I certainly do. I'm a schmuck.

Can you tell us about the civil ceremony? Are they in fact married? Just not within the "church" this is interesting.........
You cry at commercials, Kathi?! I can't remember ever doing that!

My sister Amy and her husband are going to visit us soon. I'm excited. They'll arrive on March 1 for a 10-day visit. They were supposed to be coming to the wedding (the original date was March 3), but they had a good deal on their tickets and decided to come anyway, wedding or no wedding.
