Have a safe trip Richard....its snowing here now. I guess we are suppose to get a couple of inches. I haven't seen the weather report yet.
Glad this week is over. Kids were off the wall hyper today. Guess we can blame the full moon/snowstorm...better then thinking I couldn't do my job! lol.
Have a great weekend everybody! Happy Thoughts...
hi, i was back in vt from atlanta for just monday. i just got home and leave tomorrow to switz. not much snow there. the thing i like best about the hotels i stay in- is the view when i close my eyes.

it is 6 am in a holiday inn express in newport beach and i just thought i would express myself. this hotel room looks remarkably similar to the one in santa clara and the one in atlanta and so many that i have ever been in. days and places have melted together so much that i did not know if i was in san francisco or la last night as i sat at the airport waiting for a plane. tonight i head for home, get there tommorow at lunchtime and crash for a while. by sunday morning, i will be in switzerland. hotel rooms are a little different there. with only a sheet and a down comforter you have the choice of freezing or boiling. flushing the toilet is different and a welcome challenge to this engineer. doors open in unexpected directions and the constant presence of cow bells will remind me where i am. tv shows are in many languages that are hard to understand before midnight, but are spoken in a universal language after midnight. at the moment, it is time for coffee and a breakfast bar at the newport beach holiday inn express continental breakfast- yuck.

I went to buy the US News magazine (January 20, 2007) edition and felt really stupid. I had no idea it was a weekly magazine and the new one is out on the stands already...so I couldn't get the one I wanted. Anybody have one? I guess I'll have to write to US News and see if I can get a back copy. Obviously I don't read news magazines....
We got a couple of inches of snow over the weekend and its still cold. Wind chills were so we couldn't get out again today at school. They are predicting below average temps until the middle of February.
Neil and I went to Concord yesterday to take our son out for his birthday dinner. He'll be 25 on 2/6...and hes my baby...where has all the time gone??? lol....
Happy Thoughts..........

i had that same dream! what are the chances of that??
Yes, Patti, I managed to get in, but I still don't see that "manage post" button you mentioned. I just pressed "new post." And, no, I didn't choose to change to new blogger. I couldn't get in without changing. I stick to my old ways unless I'm forced to change.

Karen, I forgot to mention you appeared in one of my dreams recently. I don't really remember the details--just that there was dancing going on and I was impressed that you looked exactly the same as you did in high school!
so Lori I'm glad you got back in. From what I can see now, we have to click the manage posts button to be able to see the blog in the "normal view". The listed view you get when you click on view blog seems to be what used to be considered the web view I think. Were you changing to new Blogger on perpose or becaue they told you to? I couldn't get in any more without changing over to the new version. I'm not yet sure what the benefits are though.

I'm wondering if the reunion committe in Spfld. has met yet? Too soon perhaps. Though for those of us wishing to lose weight, grow our hair out, or otherwise remodel. Time is of the essence. That and the need for available hotel space for travelers.
lori, i certainly wasn't thinking of myself as a tease to be so close and yet so far. i was selfishly thinking of my time, the potential for it to be different, and hoping that i might win the lottery sometime soon. the highlights of being in this hotel complex were african drumming as a group of 60 people, doing races on adult size tricycles, and playing some pretty good ping pong during free time. othewise it was morning to night powerpoint presentations. oh, and did i mention drinking? i feel like janis joplin after a long night of southern comfort and whatever else she might have swallowed. i will go see if i can keep breakfast down and head to the airport now.
