Well we have updated 11 addresses now and turning up the heat on this reunion.
Gear up because we are going to have a good time. I have allot of new information
so the next meeting which is a week from today. We will be working late getting this
all together. We are hoping to mail the invites out by then as soon as I bring in the updates.
The Caterer, DJ, Hall, etc.... Well the theme for the Parade this year is COUNTRY FAIR......
Any ideas on a float. We don't know if we are going to have time to get one together since
we are spending allot of effort on this. But hey we are open for suggestions. Okay now that I opened
up a can of worms lets all go fishing. I understand that we have Barlows Barn for use if we want it.
Just thought I would add this to beef up the chat. lmao..............
I am and will do it now and then I need to go finish packing.

Nancy,

Yup Donna Dunning is on the Classmates list. But I am not a gold member either.

John, isn't Donna Dunning on Classmates? Maybe you can email her for her address, I would but I'm not a gold member.
I've copied the list John wrote and sent it out to the members of the e-mail list. Some of them are not here. At least not that we can tell. So we may get some information that way. Two of the people on the list will actually be receiving the letter. That should get a response. The only place I've seen information from Keith H. is in classmates. That's where he RSVP 'd the invite saying he'd be on a submarine at the time of the runion.
John, I'm surprised Holly's name isn't on that list. I'd been lead to believe she was "unfindable". If you have her address I'd appreciate it if you'd send it to me. I'd love to get in touch with her. Thanks. Wouldn't Inger be somewhere in Norway? It would be interesting to see if anyone kept in touch with her after she went home.

Save The Rat! Woooo- that got through. That broke the fantasy of growing up in Mr. Roger's neighborhood. I remember Lori's father getting up and speaking in an after school assembly to Save The Rat and then going to summer school with Rick Smith the next summer at St. Mike's. I remember learning to play tennis with Rob Massonneau- the server never won and one set would last for days . . . . wandering through the tunnels at the Hartness House . . . boiling sap with Boy Scouts and fortunately avoiding the child molesting practices of the Scout Master. I remember learning some French from Chris Daniel's mother (weren't you in that group Robin) and trying to avoid saying anything in French. She thought I was a fool and did not hide it, I wonder why it has taken me so long to figure out that she was right- oh yeah, that's because I am a fool. I remember mowing lawns and getting bitten by bees from underground hives . . . building great dams in the stream by my house . . . tree houses, and of course . . . Charlie and Brian's corruption of my morals- (it still isn't legal Brian!)
Hi Neil, I am enjoying reading the "memories" we all seem to have from those years. Good idea, Karen!! John, I am moving the first of May, so I will email you my new address. I think all the alumni news has been sent to my Mom's address. She has been very good at sending me the info......just never been near enough to come. It is easier that way............being in the military, you never seem to have a permanent address, so we usually got everyone's home town address. Now most of the people I know are old and retired like me, so we all have permanent addresses!!
Here's a funny story. Several years ago (about 8 or so) I was in the market for a new (to me) vehicle.
I hoping to find a used 4WD. One day in my travels, I happened by this Bronco II parked on the edge
of the yard in a Colchester neighborhood with a for sale sign on it. No one was home, so I took the
number down, and called later that evening. I left a message, as there was still nobody home. The
next day I get this call that went something like this, "Is this the Neil Ginter that went to
SHS...graduated in '72"? I replied, "Ahhh Yup, the one and only", to which the "gentleman" on
the other end said, "well (Lord's name in vain here) Gint. Do you know who this is??
ANDY SHATTUCK!!" Well no shit!?!?! So I bought the Bronco from him...lol...gave me a
good deal too. We kept in touch for a bit but I haven't seen or heard from him for at
least 5 years. What a small world, huh? That made my day!!

Any way... John, according to the online phone book, he is still here. I'll email you his adress.

Hi Robin. I hear things have worked out well for you, according to Jim H. Congrats on your new career path...

Hi Sue, Nancy, Pat, Dick, Brian, and eveyone else...

frogs? flashbacks? random thoughts and memories...Coot dropping a frog on my stomach while sunning with Debbie Young at our farm in Spoonerville...Coot and I getting hustled out of the Justice Dept while trying to crash a Watergate hearing in '74...Gullible's Travels...sliding with Brian/Richard/Charlie/Dennis in the Dell...those white band uniforms at Riverside that looked like something from the crew of the Love Boat..wearing them while we played for Hubert Humphrey (does anyone else still play music? I play drums..my '69 red satin flame Yamaha's..with a folkrock/reggae band) being in the all purpose room at East school when Mr Smith came down to tell our teacher about Kennedy being shot...stopping for doughnuts at the bakery on the way home from Riverside...listening to the 67 world series in Mr Birsky's room...watching the brand new high school burn...trying to avoid actually ever saying anything in French in French class...Mrs Mable was my daughter's forensics coach at So. Burlington High..Save The Rat.
I can get you Larry Kruse's address. He & I spoke today...and he promised he wouldn't bring a frog to drop down the front of my bathing suit! Suddenly I had a flashback...a football party at Robin's farm. The next few months promises to be a series of flashbacks!
Karen, I'm waiting for your next idea!

As you can see I am removing the names as I get the addresses. I have got 6 updated addresses. Good Job everyone. Lets keep going we are on a Roll to nail this list down. 28 to go.....
If the names are not on the list and you want to make sure we have the current if you know of them send them my way and I will check to see if the list is current on my end.
Jerry those addresses you sent me was great. I did not have the current ones.
Pat, is Keith in Groton? Karen Blais Hocker would have Loretta's if anyone. I'll try and get in touch with her. My Mom knows Susan's mom. Karen may also know Carol, or Polly might. Guess we have to do it piecemeal, huh?
I've just sent a note to Larry K and Dave M asking them to send their mailing addresses to you John.
I'll send you Jane's. Keith Hutchinson is in the Navy and will be completing his submariner's trainer during our reunion time. I don't have his mailing address.

Last summer Dave and I were talking about moving back to VT. I sent an e-mail letter to Hank through his address on the company web site. Never heard back from him though. Did see his picture on the site. Very snappy!

Lori, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings saying you were smart. But you were. :-) I was a great speller though. Couldn't do math then, can't do it now.

I gratuated 4 feet 11 Brian and I'm a whopping 5' 2" now. Jane says she's 5' 1. So at the airport I'm looking for a short girl in a black CK ball cap. Jane, I just can't picture you as anything but the way you are in my memories. Does Shannon look like you??
Wow John thank you. I had no idea we had lost so many classmates. Dick Congdon took me to the movies to see Dr. Zhivago. I thought he was wonderful.
You know Hank Gintof is a successful real estate broker here in the Burlington area. How hard can it be to find him?
Nancy, Good question about Bill Guertin. We don't have an address for him either. I gotta go to work but maybe I will post the names we don't have a clue where they are and if somebody knows something they can email me at my address and give me the information. I will post them later. but for now see ya.......
Wow John, I was wondering how many people we had lost, it seems like way too many. I knew about Kathy and Sue told me about Sandy, they were neighbors. Sandy was with us on the long trail one time and we were sprnding the night in one of the cabins there and she was very sick, had to go to the hospital, did you go on that one, Sue? I'm trying to remember, I think a guy you knew went with us ( as a guide, I think his name was Paul) and couldn't get over the heavy stuff we packed in our back packs, we even had snowshoes!!! I think it was Sandy or Darlene Verge that had this huge steak for their dinner...........that was near the Pond Hill Ranch and we couldn't get over knocking on all those people's doors (that had lights on) and they never opened them. I guess we finally got to the director's house and they explained that the people were scared of us.........of course it was in the middle of the night, but we got Sandy to the hospital and I think she had her appendix removed. That seemed like such a long time ago........sad to hear about Sandy, and the others............what ever happened to "wild Bill" Guertin? I remember he and his briefcase.....
I knew about Kathy Sanderson, Charlie Hawthorne, and Sandy Lucas, but what happened to the other ones? Can someone tell me?

Brian, I hope you realize some of us don't know how to send photos through the computer. I needed my husband's help just to find that photo John posted. Couldn't find the squiggly line on my computer.

Karen, you have good ideas! But your memory brought up my bad memories! I hated being called smart in high school. I remember crying once when Patty made a comment about that. (Wouldn't mind now. No one says it anymore!). About the only teachers I remember are Mr. Paul, Mr. McHugh, Mr. Soule, and Richard's mother, Mrs. Loveless! I liked the writing we did in her class. I remember playing the trumpet and being called Liverlips. And giggling at pajama parties with Janice. Getting yelled at by the librarian for talking to Holly Smith in the library. Having a crush on David Ringquist all through high school. Better stop now!
Hey Patty,
I won't attest to anything of the sort. You look pretty darn good, in fact. Are you still short?

Yeah, that's a sad list.
Carl was my neighbor
I worked with Dick at Bryant's 3rd shift
Charlie was my bestest buddy
Sandy I knew from first grade
Paul was in boy scouts with me
I hadn't heard about Debbie and Deborah

Eveyone who dies is somebody's kid or somebody's parent.

Pat are you talking about Deborah Smith (Carpenter).......
Here is a list of the ones that we lost.

Sanderson, Kathy
Welch, Carl
Congdon, Dick
Hawthorne, Charlie
Lucas, Sandy
Miller, Paul
Young, Debbie
I loved looking at the photo John. I don't look like my high school picture. Brian can attest to that. He's seen the one on my school's web site. Still blonde is about all I can say.

Karen, I had such a great time working at the A&W. Ate so much fried bread dough! And the senior play was such a riot. I really loved doing all the plays. I remember Mr. Paul asking who was buried in Grant's tomb on the final exam.

I don't want to be morbid but can anyone tell me whom from our class we have lost. I know Debbie Smith passed away in Florida this passed year.
I finally dug my old one out ('72 yearbook) and tried to figure out how some of you that I have heard from have changed, but with John's photo, some have stayed exactly the same!!! I somehow thought we would look different!! I have been told by my college friend that I haven't changed a bit!! Guess I thought with age would come some maturity?? Is that how it works? Has anyone heard from the Woodford sisters, or the Webster sisters? I remember Mr. Bateman, one of the kindest teachers that I had........he was super! I also loved Mrs. Becker, she was one of the best, we had a great time learning from her, and I am surprised that I actually remembered some algebra from her class when I took it later on in college many years ago. I remember Mrs. Henry and met her later on at my father's memorial service, it was very touching that some former students and former colleagues remembered him after all those years. Mrs. Henry was tough, but as Brian said, she meant well and I left learning alot more than I came through the door with.
We have to forgive those teachers. They meant well.

I will eventually get a permanent link up on our main page that goes to a photo album. So get some photos together would you all?

Maybe I'll scan our yearbook photos, too if you don't think it would be too awful.
We need more histories............I was really enjoying reading about what has gone on in people's lives! Okay, well in the meantime, how about some memories........Like I remember: Sitting between the brains of Lori Sobel and Rick Smith in Chemistry and not having a clue what was going on. Losing touch with some friends like Brian King, Charlie Hawthorne, Michael Johnson, and Michele Levlock when they went to the alternative school. Being nervous as hell to be invited overnight to Ricky Guarino's house! Fooling around everyday in Madame Shenk's class while the Woodford girls answered all the questions. Working at the A&W with Janice Hinckley, Patty Smith, Holly Smith and others. Reading the forgotten lines of the senior play too loudly, so that everyone could hear. Meeting Rich Stover at Joanna Birsky's pajama party! Teachers who made us work and learn...Mrs. Mable, Mr. Smith, Mrs. Tracy, Mr. Paul, Mr. Vincent, Mr. McCue (sp?).........actually, we had a lot of strong teachers; at Riverside: Mrs. Henry, Mrs.Parsons, Mr. Bath, Mrs. DOTTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your turn..................
John, thanks for posting the picture of the five of you. I'd like to see more pictures! Especially since I won't be at the reunion.

Nancy Yancy yes you can give her my address. jjll@adelphia.net

Yes we are sending out invitations to all no matter what. And nobody has to worry about posting their addresses that is why I told everyone to send them to me so that we can make the change at our next meeting which is the final meeting before we send out invitations. I have all the addresses right now in how they appear before we send them out that is why if you want to get a invitation I am asking for the current addresses also it will provide us with in case we need to send out any special request in the future. We are just trying to get an idea on what food people want so that we can tell the chef. If for some reason we can't get in contact with you and you still want to come then feel free to join us. We are just doing this to get a count on what type of food so that we don't have just one kind of food. Not a big deal if we don't 100 percent get everybody thoughts it would just help that is all. Everybody is still Welcome to join our reunion on the 22nd no matter what.

I edited my last blog Brian. Don't want you worryin' bout nothin'
