Happy 4th of July one and all! I'm in my camper waiting for the many folks doing their "parts" of our dinner tonight to finish up so we can all chow down. the party started early, around 4ish, partly the 4th and partly a belated birthday party for someone who turned 50 before we all got here.

Colin joined us here on Tues., having left the AT. 1200 + miles was enough. They all have moved on to other activities. He's saying he'd like to hang out here with Dave and I for the week and then hitch a ride back to Portland with his Dad. Quite a surprise to hear from him and have him say he was in NYC at the train station that afternoon. We did some quick research and had him train to Boston, bus to Dover, NH and we picked him up at 8:50 that night. You just never know what life's gonna throw at you.

I have Internet access here in my trailer as long as a friend of mine is here as he has set up a router and allowed me to use it. Very convenient and.

Best go back to the group. Hope you're all enjoying the festivities of the weekend . - Pat

You will have to tell us all the exciting details of the wedding....colors, dress, etc...what are you wearing...food....cake...can't wait to hear.
I am impressed with all the knitting Pat. I made one baby sweater...luckily the librarian at school was this wonderful knitter who made everything....from sweaters to socks....anyways, she would help me when I got stuck. My mother used to knit like that but she made me rip everything out and start again when I made a mistake. My friend used to fix where I dropped stitches without ripping it all out. She was a life saver! I envy your knitting skills....
Some of my friends at school are getting together on Tuesdays for a craft day..that was fun. We were at my house today. We did some embossing on cards today and then ate lots for lunch...yummy stuff.
I did see Karen last week for a while. She is good and says hi to all until she can get on the net again.
Happy Thoughts............
That's nice that you do those knitting projects, Patti, and make a contribution to the community.

The closer we get to the wedding, the more nervous/excited I get. Yesterday Avi's aunt arrived from Israel, and next Thursday my sister Katie and her husband and kids will be coming from Israel. I'm looking forward to this wedding, but I think I'll also be relieved when this whole year of planning is over and I can get back to my writing. I've had a few poems accepted recently at different literary magazines, including the poem that mentions the hummingbird! (Remember when we were talking about that a while back?). That poem is called "Elephant Day" cuz I was feeling like an elephant that day--NOT like a hummingbird.
